Many action movies that are being shown in the box office today seem to have a certain bad quality, it is not that the movie has bad CGI or special effects. It is the fact that the CGI and special effects are now compensating for the bad storyline presented. This is not true to all dvd movies, but it is evident in many movies that are available. This could be seen as quite a biased view, but it really has gotten to the point where some new movies are so bad that you can physically see the holes within the movie and think of a better movie idea yourself, it has happened to many of us critical thinkers.
There seems to be a common pattern in action movies which is starting to lower the quality of the genre. What we will see is a fight scene in which there is lots of fast camera movement and explosions. However the movie producers do not seem to care whether or not we can actually tell what is going on, the majority of fight scenes which require lots of effects and stunts tend to now be so cram packed full that we can’t even tell what is going on. And what is worse is that the movie producers seem to believe that it is a strong point in the movie, when in reality it is just a senseless blur in which we have to sit through and try to grasp what is actually going on.
Of course, many peoples opinion may differ, but it is a fact that ratings for many action films are going down, and the overall dominating opinion seems to be that people are sick of seeing movies which the special effects and stunts make up for the poor storyline.
